Fresh look of Ultimate Gym - serious fitness

2019 sees a slight change in our gym design. From the conventional 2D to a 3D design...much more appealing if I say so myself.

We also did some indoor repainting plus added some wallpapers along with some new posters just to brighten up the gym with this fresh new look.

We may be a small gym, but we are pretty well equipped. One can get a pretty good workout in to say the least. We made sure we have at least one equipment to hit each body part.

So if you're looking for a gym to train in, come on by, give our gym a try, and if you like it, just sign up as a member to obtain some of the benefits such as unlimited entry/use of the gym, basic coaching, discounts on sports supplements etc.

Rant Updates - Ultimate Gym - serious fitness.

It's been a while since I updated my blog. It has been a rather busy period for me, with work plus was pretty much brain dead for the duration. Anyhow, just to inform readers out there that Ultimate Gym now also offers gym members, or even non gym members an option to purchase several brands of food supplements.

Apart from that, my personal website too has been totally revamped and will be launched very soon. Official announcement will be made very soon. A very special thanks goes out to my buddy Murad Zaidi for helping me create a new theme for my website. It will be straight and simple where by it can be viewed by all computer operating systems.

Ultimate Gym will also be undergoing a few more transformation. Several more equipments will be upgraded by mid June 2013. By such time, every piece of equipment would have been upgraded to a newer version for better function. More on that when the equipments arrive.

In the mean time, business is running as usual. Personal Training services as well as Diet & Nutrition programs are also offered right here at Ultimate Gym. To follow on what's going on , follow us HERE.

Till my next update.......TRAIN HARD ! TRAIN SMART !

Dietary proteins critical to overall health

Dietary proteins critical to overall health.

Dietary protein not only promotes health throughout life, but protein also plays an important role in weight loss
and muscle maintenance, reveal researchers from a variety of institutions.

A panel discussion including leading protein researcher Dr. Don Layman examined the research debate regarding favourable dietary protein needs for Americans.

Layman presented an analysis of studies on weight loss and optimal dietary protein intake for adults.

"A common myth is that adults are eating more protein than they need, but in actuality many individuals may not be meeting their protein needs, especially when they are consuming a lower-calorie diet as part of a weight loss plan. Another big problem is that the typical American diet generally does not include enough protein at breakfast," said Layman.

Research has shown that dietary protein intakes above the current recommendations are beneficial in maintaining muscle function and may help manage diseases such as obesity, heart disease and type 2 diabetes.

In fact, researchers recommend that adults consume 25-30 grams of protein at each meal.

Another recent study has also shown that eating a protein-rich egg breakfast helped males manage hunger and reduce calorie consumption throughout the day by 18 percent.

Experts from the National Institutes of Health, the University of Georgia and the University of Texas identified protein intake as a critical intervention strategy for the treatment and prevention of sarcopenia in the aging population.

Another study has found that older men and women who ate the most protein-rich foods lost approximately 40 per cent less muscle mass over three years compared to those who ate the least amount of protein.

The findings were presented at Experimental Biology 2010 in Anaheim, Calif.
