 Introducing, once more , Ms.Lilian Tan , a Penangite who certainly does not need anymore introduction in Malaysia as she has been glossing the pages of so many local newspapers as well as appearing on several local television talk and game shows.



As one can clearly see, her passion for bodybuilding and fitness has driven her to achieve so much , that obviously did not go un-noticed here in Malaysia. Malaysian Guiness Book of Records has just recognised her efforts and will be awarding her with an honourable recognition award. Quite an accomplishment for this mini power house.



Lilian , a certified ISSA trainer , is currently residing in Kuala Lumpur where she is running her Personal Training business. A very motivated and energetic individual, Lilian has helped many of her clients achieve their goals through proper training and nutritional guidance.

ULTIMATE GYM - serious fitness rebranded.

As you can see, Ultimate Gym has toned down it's image from the hardcore bodybuilding look to a more fitness friendly image. This is crucial as the entire market for this sort of industry revolves around the fitness crowd rather than the bodybuilding  scene.
Having said that, Ultimate Gym is equipped enough for the serious bodybuilder as well as the fitness minded crowd.

Ultimate Gym - A New Beginning.

For those of you who do not know, Ultimate Gym was incorporated some 22 years ago. Back then, equipments were scarce. When I started Ultimate Gym, a local company was making copies of some international brands. Those that you see in yellow below. They were good strudy machines that had lasted me a whopping 22 years and is still going strong, except they are now in the care of a gym operator in Ipoh, Malaysia.

In order for Ultimate Gym to stay relevant, some upgrades were necessary. Hence the beginning of a new era for my gym . A new look, feel and image is being forged as you read this. As the days go by, more of the older machines will be phased out making way for some new goodies. Not only will this be a good start to a new branding for Ultimate Gym, but it will also prompt clients to get more enthusiastic about working out without feeling stale.

 

Next, it will be the stationary bikes, both magnetic and spinning to cater to the various clientele I have.

2012 MALAYSIAN BODYBUILDING ITINERARY.

Calendar of events in Malaysia for 2012.

WBPF 2012 Itinerary.

Here are some of the highlights of this years Itinerary under the WBPF organization to date. Only into it's 4th year, I think this org will succeed in making an impact in the world. I recall skeptics saying this new org will only last no more than 2 - 3 years then fold....well it's in it's 4th year so I guess they are here to stay.
Some of the 2012 International Itinerary for WBPF -

1) 11th South East Asian Bodybuilding Championship - 22nd - 27th Feb 2012 - Yangon, Myanmar.

2) Sportsfest Bodybuilding & Physique Events for Men & Women including the Inaugural WBPF World Cup - 9th - 10th June 2012 - Hungary.

3) 46th Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championships for Men & Women & 52nd ABBF Congress - 20th - 26th Sept 2012 - Guangzhou, China.

4) 10th Fitparade OPEN & Independent events with prize money - 13th - 14th Oct 2012 - Budapest, Hungary.

5) Oceania Bodybuilding Championship - 14th - 18th Nov 2012 - New Zealand.

6) 2nd WBPF Pro Am Classic for Men with prize money - 1st - 4th Dec 2012 - Singapore.

7) 4th WBPF World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championships for Men & Women & Electoral Congress - 4th - 10th Dec 2012 - Bangkok, Thailand.

WBPF World Amateur Championship 2011.

Malaysia will play host for the World Amateur Bodybuilding Championship for the third time this coming November. The first was back in 1990 and second in 2000 but at that time was an affiliate to the IFBB but the third one is under a new organization called WBPF. This new organization came about when there was a riff between ABBF and IFBB. Many interesting and promising things to come under this new org. ...just wait and see!

Anyway, back to the topic, Malaysia as I have mentioned, will be playing host to the World Championship for the third time and it will be held in Melaka , Malaysia from the 9th to the 14th of November 2011. As always, Malaysia puts on a spectacular event and this year will be nothing short of spectacular.

Datuk Gan, the "Godfather" of Malaysian bodybuilding will be sponsoring some really awesome trophies at this event. To view write up on this go HERE.

10th Nov 2011 (Thu) - Weigh In

11th Nov 2011 (Fri)   - Pre Judging (10am)  for :- 55kg , 65kg, 75kg, 85kg, 100kg.( Mahkota Ballroom)

                                                                          

                                    - Finals          (7pm) -          Jonker Walk Open air Theater.

12th Nov 2011 (Sat) - Pre Judging (10am)  for :- 60kg, 70kg, 80kg, 90kg, Over 100kg

                                   - Finals           (7pm) -          Jonker Walk Open air Theater.

13th Nov 2011 (Sun)   - 10am     -  Sightseeing/tour of Melaka for all participants
